Essentials of Governance
Faculty: Randal Dick is the Founder of Profit Environment LLC and a Special Assignment Consultant with Design Group International™ where he helps a wide variety of business and Christian leaders overcome challenges and maximize success. Randal is a graduate of The Governance Academy and has been personally trained by John and Miriam Carver, two of the world’s leading authorities on corporate and nonprofit governance. He served on boards in five countries and has trained and coached boards in over a dozen countries.
Executive Leadership and Money
Faculty: Mark L. Vincent is CEO of Design Group International™. Out of a successful career in pastoral ministry, project management and leadership development, Mark co-founded Design Group International, a firm that helps organizations and their leaders discover clarity and implement solutions. Mark assists businesses, nonprofits and ministry organizations, guiding leadership transitions, untying organizational knots and moving forward in mission.
Lead Like Jesus
Faculty: Tricia Krohmer is Vice President, Relationship Management and Master Trainer for the Lead Like Jesus organization. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty for Olivet Nazarene University having taught full time at the university for nine years. She came to academia after spending more than 25 years in the corporate arena with specific expertise in training, sales and marketing. The bulk of that time was spent in a variety of management positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including 15 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb. Krohmer has had the unique experience of working for small start-ups as well as large Fortune 50 companies.
Day-to-Day Financial Management
Faculty: Vonna Laue serves as the West Regional Director for Capin Crouse, a CPA firm serving not-for-profit entities through audit, review, tax and advisory services. Vonna earned her B.S. degree from Black Hills State University and her MBA degree in Leadership and Human Resource Management from the University of Colorado. She has served local organizations in a variety of positions, and has published articles in national church business administration publications as well as co-authored the book, Essential Guide to Church Finance.
Website and Social Media Ministry
Faculty: Jason Caston is an Internet church developer, author and digital ministry enthusiast who has worked with some of the largest ministries in America. With over 10 years of experience in web development, course development, mobile development and digital ministry, Caston has proven that his cutting edge technological savvy and business acumen have made him a sought after Internet Church expert. Caston is the author of The iChurch Method, a five part approach to establishing an internet church presence and advancing a ministry online.
How to Develop a Digital Marketing Strategy (NEW)
Faculty: Jennifer Deshler is owner of the newly formed SkyWrangler Strategic, a firm dedicated to marketing, branding, and content development. Prior to launching SkyWrangler, Jennifer was the VP of Marketing at Harper Collins Christian Publishers. Over the course of 15 years, Jennifer took on successive roles in the company and built a strong foundation for researching and developing new ways to connect with people through digital technologies and traditional marketing.
Talent Acquisition and Retention Lifecycle
Faculty: Rhonda Kline is managing partner and President of the organizational development firm, Alston-Kline, Inc., and team leader of design and implementation for the firm’s services in executive assessment and coaching, talent acquisition, and testing and assessments. With 20 plus years working in diverse industries, in non-profit and for profit sectors, her expertise is both broad and deep in leadership and organizational development, talent acquisition and development, behavioral change strategies, and interpersonal communication strategies that lead to enhanced work performance.
Biblical Foundations for People Care & Management
Faculty: Carolyn B. Thompson is an experienced training designer, facilitator, event planner and HR consultant for Training Systems, Inc., a customized performance improvement and HR consulting company dedicated to helping small and medium sized organizations enhance their ability to recruit, inspire and retain quality employees and improve performance through training. Training Systems, Inc. also provides training design and delivery services to training companies, the training departments of large companies and trade & professional associations.
Practically Applying the 5 Languages of Appreciation in Your Work Place (NEW)
Faculty: Dr. Paul White is a Christian psychologist, author, speaker, and consultant who has worked with families, businesses, schools, and ministries for the past 20 years. Dr. White coauthored The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace with Dr. Gary Chapman (author of the #1 NY Times bestseller, The 5 Love Languages). Since its release in 2011, it has sold over 100,000 copies and has been translated into nine languages. Based on their extensive research and expertise, Dr. White and Dr. Chapman have developed a unique way for organizations to encourage employees that decreases cynicism, improves staff relationships, reduces staff and volunteer turnover, and creates a more positive workplace environment.

Faculty: John B. Savage is the Co-Founding Principal of the Nonprofit Practice of OneAccord LLC. He has been working and partnering with nonprofit executives and organizations for over 30 years. His clients represent entrepreneurial start-ups to organizations celebrating their 100th anniversary. He has served private schools, large and small church boards, family and church foundations, rescue missions, camps, overseas ministries, foster care agencies, hospitals, inner-city outreaches to the poor, as well as faith-filled family businesses and their leaders, among others. Helping clients grow their revenue and transition through changes in leadership are his specialties.
