Spring is in the air and the CLA Online Academy is ready to equip you.

For those who have never experienced this unique learning experience, CLA’s Online Academy features practical, biblically-based, insights from thought leaders from the front lines in these fields. Our faculty has proven expertise in nonprofit fundraising, leadership, people management, technology and social media, marketing and more!

The CLA Online Academy gives organizations the opportunity to enroll an entire team to go through this interactive training together. Powered by Azusa Pacific University College, the beauty of this approach is that your team can grow together, fulfilling your mission of ongoing staff development, without their ever having to leave your home office. It’s the most cost-effective way of offering your team the best in Christian leadership training.

Board Governance – Producing Catalytic Change in Your Board

Faculty: Sid Web

Dr. Sid Webb has a passion to use his three decades of experience in founding, leading, and training nonprofit organizations, combined with his award-winning doctoral-level research on board governance, to help organizations deliver a profound impact. He has over twenty years of seminar leader experience with organizations such as Walk Thru the Bible, Winning With Encouragement, Ministry Ventures, and the “released time” community. He has worked with over 100 clients nationwide, including Greater Europe Mission, Advanced Global Coaching, Every Home for Christ, Meet Justice, YWAM Boston,

CCNL – CCNL Relationship Module

Faculty: Shannon Litton

Bringing experience from both technology and non-profit management, Shannon builds strategies that lead organizations to new levels. She is president and CEO of 5by5 (5by5agency.com), a marketing and digital agency which serves change makers, those who work where life change happens. The 5by5 team delivers messages with undeniable clarity, reach, and results. Prior to establishing 5by5, Shannon co-founded a successful agency, worked in marketing for a technology leader in the educational space, and provided marketing consulting to non-profits engaged in multi-million dollar fundraising campaigns.

Executive Leadership – The Steward Leader

Faculty: Mark L. Vincent

Mark L. Vincent is CEO of Design Group International, an organizational development company he co-founded in 2001 to help organizations and their leaders discover clarity and implement solutions. Out of a successful career in pastoral ministry, project management and leadership development, Mark co-founded Design Group International, a firm that helps organizations and their leaders discover clarity and implement solutions. Mark assists businesses, nonprofits and ministry organizations, guiding leadership transitions, untying organizational knots and moving forward in mission.

Executive Leadership – TrueFaced, High-Trust, Leadership

Faculty: Dr. Bruce McNicol

Bruce McNicol is co-founder and President of Truefaced. His passion to restore the Original Good News for diverse world cultures through transformed leaders and their platforms of influence has built the foundation of this organization. With degrees in finance law, theology, leadership, and organizational development, Bruce’s ability to write to diverse readers and leaders has proved true in the best-sellers he has co-authored: The Ascent of a Leader, The Cure, Bo’s Cafe, and the High Trust Cultures guide for leaders. Bruce enjoys reading, sports, learning to play golf with Bill Thrall and John Lynch, travel, and observing world cultures. His constant interest is his wife Janet, who is a homemaker, nurse and mentor. Bruce and Janet have three children, Nicole, Chad and Ryan.

Financial Management – Effective Financial Controllership

Faculty: Rachel McMichael

As a manager, Rachel is responsible for providing supervision and guidance to the senior staff and senior associates during the attestation and audit engagement process. She works closely with our clients and often functions as the primary contact to assist clients in getting their day-to-day accounting questions answered. In addition to her audit responsibilities, Rachel also oversees the Southeast tax practice.

Marketing Communications  – Fundamentals of Branding

Faculty: Tami Heim

Tami Heim has been the president and CEO of Christian Leadership Alliance, headquartered in San Clemente, CA, since January 2012. Her professional career includes executive leadership experience in the technology, marketing, publishing and retail industries. She has served as a partner in The A Group – Brand Development, executive vice president and chief publishing officer for Thomas Nelson Publishers, and as the president of Borders, Inc.

People Management & Care – Talent Acquisition and Retention Lifecycle

Faculty: Cathie Cowie

Cathie is a managing owner and the CEO of Alston-Kline, Inc., an organizational development consulting firm, since 1988. Prior to leading Alston-Kline, Inc., Cathie was the Director of Employment at World Vision, Inc., a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities in over 100 countries, a VP of Human Resources at Pacenet/Satellite Business Systems a satellite communications corporation, Director of Human Resources in retail, and a News Producer in broadcasting.

Resource Development – Biblical Foundations of Development

Faculty: Dr. R. Scott Rodin

Dr. R. Scott Rodin has been in not-for-profit leadership and consulting for over twenty-seven years. He is the President of Kingdom Life Publishing. He is also President of Rodin Consulting, Inc. Dr. Rodin has served as counsel to over 100 organizations across the country and in Canada and Great Britain including colleges, seminaries, schools, churches, para-church ministries and other not-for-profit organizations. He has extensive experience in the areas of leadership, fund raising, strategic planning, board development, change management and organizational effectiveness.
