The Heart of a Leader

Because we believe that successful leadership begins on the inside, this course is designed to intentionally focus on a leader’s heart motivation, our “why” first. Defining our “why” is not an easy task. It requires soul-searching, an understanding of one’s core life values and a desire for a destination that’s much more than pure profit or personal success. This course will explore critical questions every leader must answer, differences between a spiritually healthy and an unhealthy heart and how understanding and embracing our identity and an accurate self-awareness will make us much more effective influencers. *This is a required course for an Outcomes Leadership CORE Certificate.
Faculty: Phyllis Hendry Halverson – President and CEO, Lead Like Jesus
Category: Executive Leadership

Fundamentals of Major Gift Fundraising

Major gift fundraising is a critical part of any nonprofit organization’s portfolio, yet securing major gifts requires wise planning and implementation. This module is designed to introduce simple yet important principles to illustrate the fundamentals of major gift fundraising. This includes the sacredness of the task, and the deeply relational playfulness and fun of this work. Participants will have ten weeks of interaction with fellow colleagues, while engaging in reading and discussions built around the concepts presented in each session. Upon completion of this module you will be able to implement creative strategies and tactics for a successful major donor program in your organization….

CCNL Leadership
