Module Overview

Marketing is one of the most important tools in your organization’s toolbox. In this module, participants will learn the fundamentals of marketing and the importance of understanding their target audiences when designing and employing marketing strategies. This module is designed to help Christian leaders understand the fundamental elements of marketing and how they can help to differentiate the organization and its offering(s). It also provides guidance for effectively communicating to an organization’s target audiences. Upon completion, the participant will have a better understanding of the four basic marketing principles, and the role target audience knowledge plays in achieving marketing success.

Requirements for Receiving Credit

Credit for the module will be determined on the following criteria:
  1. Successful completion and submission of five Reflection assignments demonstrating that the participant has read required resources and reviewed the presentation content
  2. Engage in all the topic forum discussions for all five sessions

Facilitator Bio

Kristin Smith - Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Development, Christian Aid Mission
Kristin Smith is Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Development with Christian Aid Mission.  She is a passionate and successful leader with a proven track record in marketing, communications, branding, and fundraising. Driving marketing campaigns effectively from conceptualization to completion, she oversees fundraising channels that include direct mail, web, and eCommunications. Prior to joining Christian Aid Mission, Kristin served as Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing and Communications for Bible League International.  Before that Kristin served as Director of Marketing for Biblica, The International Bible Society. Residing in Charlottesville, she grew up in Southern California in a Christian home. Kristin’s devotion to ministry relies on the promise of God’s Word: “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.” Lamentations 3:22 NIV
