Vision

Every Christian Leader thriving.

Mission

Christian Leadership Alliance equips and unites leaders to transform the world for Christ.

CORE VALUES

Honoring God

We seek God's good and glory in all circumstances.

You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being. — Revelation 4:11
You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. — I Corinthians 6:19b, 20

This is how we live it out:

  • We pray, study, and wait for God’s direction in daily service to him.
  • We consistently give God the glory in all things regardless of the circumstance.
  • We own our weaknesses, mistakes, and failures.
  • We stand by our word, even when it is challenging or costly.
  • We speak the truth in love.
  • We treat others with respect.

Service to Others

We serve in love and with humility.

And whoever wants to be first must be your slave – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. — Matthew 20:27, 28
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administrating God’s grace in its various forms. — Peter 4:10

This is how we live it out:

  • We anticipate what matters to others and seek opportunities to help.
  • We seek to understand the needs of others and how to meet them.
  • We give generously of our time without expecting it to be returned.
  • We patiently go the extra mile to explain, instruct or advise others.
  • We willingly do more than is expected.
  • We research answers even when they are beyond our scope.
  • We give freely of our talents for the benefit of those we serve.

Collaboration

We partner with Christian leaders to accomplish our mission.

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. — John 17:20-23
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. — Colossians 3:14

This is how we live it out:

  • We encourage partnership, unity and a vibrant sharing of ideas and leadership best practices.
  • We welcome a range of opinions, and respectful dialogue that challenges us to think higher.
  • We create spaces and opportunities for our members to share their best with others.
  • We actively work with Christian thought leaders to discover new ways to transfer knowledge and wisdom.
  • We invite the wisdom of others to solve problems, envision futures, and elevate organizational effectiveness.
  • We foster opportunities for networking and collaboration among our members.
  • We value the expertise, experience, and resources others generously give for the greater good.

Transformational Learning

We trust Biblical truth to inspire Christ-like leadership.

By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.— Proverbs 24:3-4
Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. — Mark 4:24

This is how we live it out:

  • We are learners committed to our own personal growth and development.
  • We use God’s Word and biblical principles as the primary foundation in all of our lifelong learning resources and experiences.
  • We combine academic excellence with best practices and practical application.
  • We structure learning programs around a leader’s point in his or her personal development.
  • We select expert faculty and content providers who are biblically based, practically experienced, innovative and thoughtful.
  • We aggressively explore new delivery methods for our content and learning experiences. We seek to make all we do accessible to leaders around the world.

Excellence

We desire and pursue God-honoring outcomes.

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. — Colossians 3:17
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. — 1 Peter 4:10

This is how we live it out:

  • We pursue God’s will and way in our daily walk.
  • We seek continuous improvement as an organization, and as individual leaders.
  • We highlight and emphasize outcomes-based higher thinking and best practices.
  • We steward wisely and offer the best of our personal strengths and talents in all we do.
  • We respect feedback and make adjustments to increase our effectiveness.
  • We are open to new initiatives to advance our mission, while also being committed to ending those initiatives that no longer do so.
  • We engage the best thinking of Christian thought leaders to ensure we are meeting the present and future needs of today’s Christian leaders.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His return in power and glory.
  • We believe that the salvation of the lost and sinful comes solely through the regeneration by the Holy Spirit, leading us to faith and trust in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian can live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost; they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation and saved unto the resurrection of life.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

 Our Story

The rich history of Christian Leadership Alliance has seen many transformations over the years. While the name and leadership have changed and evolved since its inception nearly 50 years ago, the core values and mission remains: providing Christian leaders with the absolute best training, resources, and support necessary to excel professionally and surpass all worldly expectations.

Back on March 20, 1976, when the founders first met in Los Angeles under the name Financial Executives of Christian Organizations, there was little indication that their efforts would ignite the global movement now known as Christian Leadership Alliance.

Yet our founders recognized in their time the immense need for professional development, practical business strengths, and the establishment of a community to foster these competencies - each of which would be based on and guided by the biblical worldview from which all things followed.

Their initial commitment to strengthen the Christian leaders and organizations they served has stayed with Christian Leadership Alliance. Therefore, we continue to enable today's leaders to invest in and raise future leaders for the benefit, service, and glory of God’s Kingdom.
