Are You a Peacemaker?
The Beatitudes are windows into the character to which Jesus calls me, and today I reflect on becoming a peacemaker. After purity, Jesus shared the significance and reward of becoming a peacemaker — a living reflection of His reconciling love.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. “
Matthew 5:9
Putting it on
To be a peacemaker is to step into the broken spaces and bring the hope of healing. It’s not about avoiding conflict; it’s about getting the peace of Christ into places where strife and division want to rule. As Christ reshapes my heart, I stop seeing “sides” and start seeing souls. I begin to reflect the heart of the Prince of Peace Himself, not by cleverness, but by carrying His presence into a hurting world. Oh, the quiet strength of holding the peace of heaven into the chaos of earth.
What If
I asked Jesus to make me a bridge-builder today — willing to listen, willing to forgive, willing to sow seeds of peace wherever I go? Let’s do it together.
