A Shepherd, Jesus, and The Sin of the Desert  By Dr. Bob Snyder

Back to Blog

The Decision to Share Jesus

A Bedouin shepherd once encountered a man who persistently spoke about Jesus. The shepherd replied, “I understand why you are persistent. You do not want to commit the sin of the desert.”

The shepherd explained to the man, “The sin of the desert is knowing where the water is but refusing to tell others.”

“Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, ’ Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?’”

John 4:28-29, NIV

After tasting it, the woman at the well could not help but tell others about Jesus and the Living Water. She knew that the first step to being a disciple of Jesus was telling others about Him!

Decision Time

Will you join me in responding like the woman at the well? She chose to introduce people to the Oasis of Life, Jesus. Today is the day, and someone needs what he’s chosen you to share.

Sharing the journey with you!
