Meet Dr. Gary G. Hoag, Founder of Global Trust Partners
Christian Leadership Alliance is honored to welcome Dr. Gary G. Hoag back to the Outcomes Conference main stage. His impact on the Alliance began with the 2008 merger of the Christian Management Association and the Christian Steward Association, which emerged as Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA). Each organization held a rich history and shared a commitment to Christian Leadership Excellence.
Dr. Hoag, along with others on the newly structured Alliance board, enhanced the ministry’s focus and kept CLA centered on Christ’s call to us as faithful stewards in his service. We are grateful for all the ways Dr. Hoag continues to impact CLA’s ministry in the United States and partners with the Alliance globally.
A Strong Foundation
Dr. Hoag is a passionate follower of Jesus and an ordained minister who grew up in a faith-based family business. He first studied accounting, then felt led to use his business skills in ministry settings. Dr. Hoag has held administrative roles at Biola University, Colorado Christian University, and Denver Seminary.
He also became known globally as the Generosity Monk. In that role, he dedicated his work to encouraging Christian generosity. Since 2009, he has remained a champion and wise guide for nonprofits seeking spiritual and strategic counsel to nurture generosity among constituencies and congregations.
Dr. Hoag received his Ph.D. in New Testament from Trinity College, Bristol, UK. His expertise centers around what the Bible teaches on the handling of money. Currently, Dr. Hoag serves as Professor of New Testament Studies at Kairos University and is a visiting professor at several global institutions, including Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Northern Seminary.
A Call to Global Ministry
Dr. Hoag is the Founderof Global Trust Partners (GTP), an international nonprofit dedicated to multiplying faithful stewards and mobilizing peer accountability groups to build trust and grow local giving to God’s work globally.
GTP was an international entity formed by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) in 2019. The first gathering of international leaders to envision what was possible took place at the Outcomes Conference in 2014 in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Hoag went on to become the global champion of faithful governance and administration as International Liaison for ECFA and has helped establish ECFA-type organizations in seven countries (South Korea, the Philippines, Australia, Kenya, Guatemala, India, and Egypt). That assignment led to his future appointment as President and CEO of GTP.
Global Trust Partners
Today, Global Trust Partners empowers national church and ministry workers to build trust and to grow local generous giving to God’s work. They serve in places where trust is broken because of systemic corruption or where people lack education or experience in church or ministry administration. Skilled servants don’t need a handout. They need a hand-up! GTP partners with God’s servants to turn dependency into discipleship. GTP’s stewardship and peer accountability efforts are helping build trust and grow local generosity for God’s work in many nations.
You will find GTP leaders serving among the faculty at the Outcomes Conference 2026!
