Praise God for the Gift of Freedom
On this July 4th holiday, Americans celebrate the land of the free and the gift of freedom we enjoy in our country. May God continue to bless this country.
As Christians, we also recognize and celebrate the eternal freedom that is only found in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. ~ John 8:32
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. ~ John 8:34
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. ~ Galatians 5:1
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. ~ Galatians 5:13
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ~ I Corinthians 3:17
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. ~ Peter 2:16
For both our country and the faith that guides us, we give thanks to God! The gift of freedom and redemption is precious.
