It Is The Veteran
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
~ John 15:13
Millions of men and women have died, been wounded or gone missing for the safety and freedom of America. On this Veteran’s Day we remember their commitment and unselfish service. We praise God for their faithfulness and the difference they’ve made in the history of our country.
As we consider the precious gift of freedom, we also recognize the over 2.6 million men and women who either serve in active duty or stand ready to serve in the Reserves. May God bless you, your families, and the sacrifice you are willing to make for all of us.
It is the Veteran
It is the Veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the Veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Veteran, who salutes the Flag,
It is the Veteran, who serves under the Flag,
To be buried by the Flag,
So the protester can burn the Flag.
