2014 Compensation Survey Findings for Christian Organizations

Christian Leadership Alliance - 2014 Compensation Survey Report

Compensation Resources, Inc. (CRI) and Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA) have released their 2014 Compensation Survey Report for Christian Organizations. This year’s survey continues to report on salary and bonus data for 114 jobs, along with compensation and benefit information including insurance coverage, paid time off, retirement plans, turnover, work – life, etc.

The data is reported in 8 Christian-based industrial classifications, and also by revenue, employee size, and region, to provide the user with various means by which to examine and evaluate results. Results are based on data provided by 105 participating organizations.

Key Findings

The reported merit increases have shown a slow but steady rise since 2011. The table below provides insights into the movement of merit increases over the past few years:

The basis for salary increases provided to employees of participating organizations was generally evenly split between performance (32%), cost of living (35%), or across the board (31%). Documented performance evaluation plans exist at the vast majority of participating organizations, with most organizations using a combination of skill- and goal-based metrics for evaluating performance.
