Momentum Four: Prayer By Kay Arthur
Momentum: Prayer Releases Power
Prayer is another important word in Acts. Prayer and fasting make crooked places straight. Reading Acts, you see the followers of Jesus devoting themselves to pray for wisdom, help and direction.
They pray when gathering together, ministering, making decisions and sending out workers.
They pray in physical crises.
They pray in prison, on beaches and on the sea.
Prayer impacts the momentum of the gospel!
The stories of our laborers around the world from the slums of Sudan, to the refugee camps in Europe and the Middle East, the courage of those laboring in Islamic and Communist countries, all bear witness to the imperative of prayer and the leadership of the Spirit.
My heart soars. It causes me to press on even at 83!
