As Christians and leaders, we’re steeped in the belief that giving to those around us and to the world at large is essential.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. (1 Timothy 6:17–19)

Our desire to create positive change by sharing our time talent and is closely tied to the generous spirit at the heart of our faith. The recent period of challenge and upheaval that has come as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and other disasters like the wildfires in Australia or the port explosion in Lebanon has made it clear that people need help in more ways and more quickly than at any time in recent history.

Carry each others’ burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
