How to Have Peace & Assurance in Your Capital Campaign Work

“And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.” Isaiah 32:17

Recently, I was feeling unsettled with all that has been on my plate. Looking to the scripture for direction, Isaiah 32:17 stirred my heart. I was pondering this scripture in Isaiah, over and over. You may read it and think, what does this have to do with capital campaigns? It has a lot to do with capital campaigns, and, for that matter, anything that your work, in Christ, is producing. Let me explain.

Peace in Your Capital Campaign Work

Look at what the work of righteousness produces: peace.

When you establish your heart in the vision of the campaign and you intentionally work to move the campaign closer completion, a peace comes with it. Seeing the righteous cause of mission and vision along with seeing your work as part of this righteous cause produces an internal peace.

Quietness & Assurance in Your Capital Campaign

Look at the second part of that scripture. The effect of righteousness is: quietness and assurance.

The effect of your righteous capital campaign work is that the atmosphere around you and the people involved in the campaign with you feel a quietness and assurance.

Doesn’t that describe faith? Faith that since God gave us the mission, we have the heart for the vision, we share with others in precision, who will hear God and make a decision, and then God gives the provision.

Capital Campaigns Are Faith-filled Work

Capital campaigns are a natural faith-filled work, since we dive into the unknown. Living in this faith-walk pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). The work can seem impossible, which is why placing the right consultants and team around you is vital.

Your heart attitude toward the work is vital in building your work of righteousness. The work of righteousness is a faith-walk. Your benefit for this work? Quietness and assurance. What a great position to bask in.
